ANZAC Day

Lest We Forget

Each year, on ANZAC Day, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the men and women who have served our nation in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.

Merrylands RSL Club, together with the Merrylands RSL Sub-Branch, invites the community to stand united in remembrance and gratitude.

Dawn Service & March Details

5:00am – March Formation
Merrylands RSL Club, Miller Street

Veterans, service personnel, and community groups will assemble before stepping off in a respectful march toward the service.

5:30am – ANZAC Day Dawn Service
Charles Mance Reserve, Newman Street

The service will proceed in the event of rain. Any updates regarding severe weather will be communicated via the website and social media channels.

Road closures will be in place throughout the morning, please review the map below to see what streets will be impacted. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and consider walking or using public transport where possible.For those travelling by car, please note that access to the car park via Miller Street will close promptly at 5:00am. After this time, entry will be temporarily available via Military Road only. Access via Miller Street will reopen once the service has concluded and it is deemed safe to do so.

Please also be aware that several surrounding roads will be closed during and shortly after the service. We appreciate your patience and cooperation with SES, Police, and Council personnel, who will be present to help ensure the event is conducted safely.

Additionally, our Furphy’s Coffee Lounge Street window on Military Road will be open from 4:00am, conveniently located within a short walking distance of the service.

Commemorate Together

Following the service, the Club will open its doors to welcome the community.

From 1:00pm – Two-Up (Swan Room)
In keeping with ANZAC tradition, Two-Up will be hosted as a symbol of mateship and shared history.

We encourage all members of the community, young and old to attend, pay their respects, and ensure that the spirit of the ANZACs lives on.
