BABY HEALTH HERITAGE HOUSE

SOLO EXHIBITION: SVETLANA PANOV

Merrylands RSL Club proudly supports local talent and during the month of December we have a local artist displaying her fine art in the newly restored Heritage House (previously the Holroyd Baby Health Centre). It is completely free and completely inspiring. You will find Svetlana in the space most days to answer any questions or have a chat to about her creative journey!

BIOGRAPHY

Svetlana’s artistic journey began when she attended Julian Ashton art school in her former years. After getting married and having a family, she moved overseas and continued to study: sculpture to watercolour, oil painting to drawing. The combination of new skills and new environments gave her the confidence to teach her own art classes for the next five years. At this point in her career she was still approaching her art with a strong sense of realism. It wasn’t until she returned to Australia 10 years later and experienced the death of two family members that her creative approach shifted, giving way to a new abstract expression. In 2017 she began attending ceramic classes and found that moulding the clay into art works gave her a new creative voice. Svetlana’s style is constantly evolving and on display will be her exhibit of ‘Expressions of Love through Colour’ that will demonstrate this

EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE THROUGH COLOUR

This exhibition evolved over a period of three years, with foundations of emotional sources, combining and igniting an eruption of colour to express love from memories and events that touched me. My passion and desire was poured into my art works, developing techniques and media to express deeper emotions of love in all its forms. These art works consumed all my inhibitions, giving me the courage to colour a blank canvas with expressions of love.

EXHIBITING UNTIL SUNDAY 30 DECEMBER 2018
